Chef Rodney Burns was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary in Atlanta, GA.
He has lived and worked on the southern California coast from Studio City to Van Nuys. He also worked on Catalina Island outside of Long Beach. In 2014 he became a finalist on Season Four of Food Network's "Cutthroat Kitchen". Chef Rod considers outreach the best part of his culinary journey. Feeding the homeless has become a part of his business since returning to New Orleans. To Chef Rod, his work is all about, “trying to help bring light to those living in darkness, unable to catch a break from life's harsh realities.”
