On Sunday, Porter became the first openly gay Black man to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on 'Pose.'
The streaming giant also shared news of an upcoming Dave Chappelle special and released a trailer for 'Styling Hollywood.'
This isn’t the first time the Emmys have made such a noticeable snub — especially when it comes to people of color.
The actress is the first trans actor in history to land two series regular roles.
This year marked the actor's first trip to Essence Fest, an experience he called "a family reunion of sorts for Black people, Black excellence and Black opulence."
"We see you, we got you and that forever and ever you're deserving of taking up space in the world," Janet Mock told ESSENCE.
