“I’m here because I love Kobe and this was one of his favorite songs," she told the crowd.

The tribute opened with an empty basketball court onstage and featured highlights from the late NBA superstar's career.

The performance will also honor Bryant's daughter Gianna and the seven other victims lost in January's helicopter crash.
The rapper claimed that he was "raised better," than the choice he made.
The rapper said a talk with his mom convinced him that his reaction to King asking about Kobe Bryant's rape case during her interview with Lisa Leslie was an overreaction.
The storied Black writer made an Instagram post about King, whom he describes as "instrumental."
The public memorial is set for February 24 in Los Angeles.
"God I wish they were here and this nightmare would be over," says the grieving mother.
