It’s a new year, and with that comes new beginnings — literally. A number of well-known women have been sharing the news, left and right, that they’re expecting. Some people are set to have their first child, like Keke Palmer, and others are adding to their brood, like Naturi Naughton.
The latest well-known woman we thought was welcoming a little one into the world was Jamaican recording artist and Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star Spice. She shared a photo of herself cradling a bump, pushing a baby carriage during a colorful photo shoot with the caption, “God has been so good to me.”
Has to be baby news right? Wrong. As it turns out, Spice says she just intended to deliver the message that God had given her new life after recovering from sepsis, which is deadly, but she’s not actually with child. The image represented a rebirth. “He literally gave me a new life and that’s what I’m celebrating. That’s all it is,” she explained in an Instagram Live. She also apologized if the confusion left anyone offended. “It was just about celebrating my new life, giving God glory.”
So no, Spice is not pregnant. Back to our regularly scheduled program…
