It was arguably the faux pas of last night.
During last night’s Golden Globes, Sylvester Stallone took home the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role in Creed, the highly acclaimed follow-up to his 1976 cult hit, Rocky. However, his director and co-star were noticeably absent from his acceptance speech.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Stallone failed to thank both director Ryan Coogler and his co-star, Michael B. Jordan, which, unsurprisingly, set Black Twitter (and Black Hollywood) afire.
It didn’t take long for Stallone to realize his mistake—just seconds after the show went to commercial break, he reportedly returned to the stage to thank both Coogler and Jordan, calling Coogler a “brilliant, brilliant filmmaker.”
What do you think of Stallone’s goof?
