Lupita Nyong’o and the cast and creative team of Eclipsed are making history by being the first all-Black and all-female production on Broadway. 

La La Anthony Signs on to Co-Produce Lupita Nyong’o’s Broadway Debut, ‘Eclipsed’

Written by Danai Gurira, Michonne on The Walking Dead, “Eclipsed” is a brutal look at life for black women during the Liberian civil war. At the helm are producers Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, with Liesl Tommy directing. The play had a sold-out run a The Public Theater, making various lists as one of the best plays of 2015. 

23 Times Black Hollywood Took On Broadway

This is a huge moment in history, something that Broadway fans definitely won’t want to miss. Previews begin next week and the opening date is March 6 with tickets available through June 19.
