Often times when people see the women that appear on shows like The Real Housewives, they tend to forget about the work that they do outside the show. The Real Housewives franchise started more than a decade ago and continues its success with season after season. 

For women on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, there are women like Kandi Burress who is a successful businesswoman on top of becoming a television personality.

Southern bell Phaedra Parks is not only a certified mortician but also an author.  Parks once told Page Six thatI went through a very terrible time about two years straight. My law partner died and two of my friends committed suicide.”

Since the group's breakup, she became a successful songwriter, penning verses for Pink, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. She's also quite the businesswoman. Burruss has very lucrative adult toy line called Bedroom Kandi, a clothing boutique in Atlanta, and is now venturing into the restaurant business. Self proclaimed Southern Belle Phaedra Parks is also no stranger to being a boss. She runs a law practice by day, is selling Fix it Jesus T-shirts, has authored two books, and is certified Mortician. And who could forget she has. Has her own workout DVD, Fine Body, that can help you get her infamous donkey booty. NeNe Leakes has become a household name ever since the franchise debuted back in 2008. Leakes started her own production company that produced her spinoff I Dream of NeNe. She's designed a successful clothing line for HSN. And her acting and hosting careers have flourished Leakes has starred on shows like Glee and The New Normal and is currently one of the hosts of Fashion Police. Kim Zolciak has also used her fame from reality TV to launch her own beauty business. She recently launched Kashmere, a high-end beauty line that can give you skin as smooth as hers.
