In video circulating on social media, one Jimmy John's worker hangs a bread "noose" over his colleague's neck and yanks it as others laugh.
Wallace said NASCAR president Steve Phelps first told him about the noose.
This was not Wallace’s first brush with racism in the sport.
The investigation into the noose, which is currently labeled a "suspicious circumstance," could be upgraded to a hate crime investigation.
“It is beyond me how you could let a look resembling a noose hanging from a neck out on the runway,” says model Liz Kennedy.
