The need for financial assistance continues to make its way around the globe as a United Nation’s food agency based in Russia requests $5.2 billion to provide food for the world’s poorest nations, according to the Associated Press. The funds would help keep more than 100 million people alive in countries like Ethiopia, Kenya and Haiti. The amount is being compared to as just a tiny fraction of what governments in America and Europe are offering as financial bailouts.
