TVGN, formally known as the TV Guide Network, is giving Wendy Williams an hour-long special to chronicle her experience as she prepares for her Broadway debut in Chicago.
Williams will play Matron Mama Morton in the Broadway classic that will run for seven weeks.
Despite her long history on radio and television, Williams says part of her preparation for Chicago will include training her voice.
“I am the one who wanted to take vocal lessons,” Williams says. “It’s something I wanted to do because I need to know how to change my voice.”
The untitled special will be executive produced by Williams and her husband through her newly launched Wendy Williams Productions.
