Wendy Williams had the world on edge on Tuesday after passing out while taping a segment on The Wendy Williams Show. Dressed as the Statue of Liberty, the 53-year-old collapsed right before a Halloween segment. When the show returned six minutes later, Williams attributed the fall to being overheated.

Williams and her team later issued statements to further address the incident.   “Wendy is feeling much better,” her team posted on Instagram. “She overheated because of her heavy costume, makeup and lights. She was able to finish the show in true Wendy spirit. Thank you for your well wishes.” In a lighter Instagram post, Williams also addressed the fall.

“Relax everybody. I’m doing just fine. Just needed some water and electrolytes. On another note, I slayed and laid Halloween, LOL! Shout out to my magnificent Glam Squad and Ceasar Galindo the costume designer. More on this tomorrow.”
