Venus and Serena Williams’ father Richard Williams is set to release a book called Black and White: The Way I See It (out May 6) where he details, among other things, his decade-long boycott of Indian Wells, California following a racially charged incident during a tournament where his family was booed. The book, co-written with author Bart Davis is described as equal parts autobiography, parenting guide, self-help book and tennis instructional manual. [HuffingtonPost]
EJ Johnson has signed a new deal with E! News which includes his return to the network series #Richkids of Beverly Hills. The deal also includes opportunities to appear on a variety of E! network programs to showcase his fashion expertise. Johnson has already lent his talents to Fashion Police, E! News, and as a special correspondent during Mercedes-Benz Fashion week. The deal will also see E! working with EJ to develop new projects. [Deadline]
Chiara de Blasio, daughter of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio will be honored with an award for combating substance abuse and depression. The U.S Department of Health and Human Services will honor de Blasio Tuesday as a role model for youth battling drug, alcohol and mental health issues. [DailyNews]
