Tyra Banks, 39, covers the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore and opened up about the one thing she’s yet to achieve in her lifetime—motherhood. Over the past 12 months, Banks’ name has been tied to baby fever news, and this time she says she won’t be happy until she has a bun in the oven.
“I want to have kids and I think it needs to happen very soon,” said Banks to the high-fashion magazine. “I feel like I was born to be the experiment of the definition of beauty and to be a mother. It’s something I have to do. I won’t be happy if I’m not a mother.”
Perhaps 2013 will be Banks’ lucky year to achieve her dreams. She told ESSENCE.com in a recent interview that she would be watching her words when it comes to future baby news. “I didn’t realize people care that much, but I guess they do,” she said. “I feel like so many people are having babies and I didn’t feel like me saying it this time would get such a buzz.”
