“I couldn’t find a good book about myself, so I decided to write one,” the Daily Show host said in a statement.
Trevor Noah has one more accomplishment to add to his growing resume.
The comedian-turned-Daily Show host has just announced that he is publishing a book of personal essays detailing his childhood in South Africa as well as other pivotal moments during his life, reports Vulture.
“I couldn’t find a good book about myself, so I decided to write one,” Noah said in a statement (fair ‘nuff!). “And just like me, this book doesn’t have an appendix.”
The untitled book, which will be published by Spiegel & Grau, will hit bookshelves next November.
“Trevor Noah is a naturally brilliant storyteller—funny and light on his feet, but with moments of true depth and emotional resonance,” Spiegel & Grau executive editor Chris Jackson said in a statement. “He has a remarkable tale to tell. We’re very excited to bring Trevor’s vivid and original voice to readers in this book about the power and necessity of laughter even—or especially—in the face of the world’s absurdities and injustices.”
