Tracy Morgan has been released from the hospital.
According to USA Today, the Third Rock comedian has been transferred to a rehabilitation center and is steadily improving.
Morgan’s publicist Lewis Kay released this statement:
“Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks. While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go. He and Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson Univeristy Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”
The good news comes following the tragic June 7 car accident that left Morgan and several others in critical condition and took the life of comedian and close friend James McNair.
Kevin Roper, the truck driver that rear ended Morgan’s limo truck has pleaded not guilty to charges that include assault by auto and vehicular homicide. A criminal complaint filed by police says that Roper been awake for 24 hours before the crash. He is currently free on $50,000 bond.
