The comedian talked to Conan about the accident and the outpouring of love and support he received from family and friends.
Tracy Morgan made an appearance on CONAN recently to talk about what he’s been up to.
The comedian discussed the traffic accident that nearly took his life and revealed that he’s forgiven the truck driver who nearly killed him.
While returning from an event in 2014, Morgan’s minibus was involved in a six-car accident in New Jersey when it was struck by a tractor-trailer operated by Wal-Mart. The crash killed his friend and collaborator James McNair.
The driver of the truck had allegedly dozed off behind the wheel after nearly 14 hours on the clock and 11 behind the wheel.

Morgan told Conan he’s forgiven the driver, adding, “I’m not even mad at him no more.” The funny man added that he received tons of love and support from friends and family during his recovery.
Morgan suffered a broken leg, femur, nose, and ribs from the accident, which required surgery. He was transferred to a rehab facility after being released from the hospital. “My family came, everybody came. Everybody showed up just to tell me they loved me,” he said.
