The Tiger Effect: Are More Blacks Golfing Because of Tiger Woods?

Twelve years since Tiger Woods opened the door for African-Americans at the Masters Tournament, there are still no other Black members of the U.S. PGA Tour, according to USA Today. Golf was a Whites-only sport for 100 years until Woods came along and completely changed the face of the sport. Yet, with no contemporaries and no Blacks in the tours which develop the next great golfers, he may remain the exception, instead of creating a new rule. — CJ
