Ailing singer Etta James was released from a southern California hospital.
After spending two weeks in a southern California hospital for breathing problems, Etta James has been released.
Her manager, Lupe De Leon, said the ailing singer went home on Thursday and her condition is “stable.” However, she is only able to communicate with head nods and simple words.
CNN reports that James spent New Year’s Eve with her two sons, Donto and Sametto James, in her hospital room — coincidentally the same day she was taken off the respirator.
James is currently in the end stages of terminal leukemia. She also suffers from dementia and kidney failure.
Paul Wright, an attorney who represents James’ two sons says, the “At Last” singer is “nearing the end of her time, but she’s a tough lady.”
