All of a sudden, Taraji P. Henson has a blitz of upcoming projects, both in movies and TV.

After scoring an Emmy nomination last month for Outstanding Female Lead Actress in a Mini Series for “Taken From Me; The Tiffany Rubin Story,” she’s gearing up for a return to the small screen in the CBS drama, “Person of Interest,” which premieres September 22.

Though she’s used to getting big accolades (she was nominated for an Oscar), Taraji admits to being caught off-guard by her Emmy nod.

“It wasn’t something I was expecting,” she told Essence.com at Russell Simmons ‘Art For Life’ benefit. “I was really surprised and humbled.”

Working on “Person of Interest” has also meant moving to the Big Apple. Not that she’s complaining. “I love New York. Love it,” she said. “The best thing about being in New York is the people and you get to walk everywhere.”

Welcome to NYC, Taraji. We’ll be rooting for you on September 18.
