Today’s topic: I keep having sex too soon Hello Shirley and Steve, I am 21 years old and I have a major issue. You see I am very attractive and I tend to attract a lot of guys, but the problem is my relationships last for longer than six months! I am a very serious college student and I have a lot going for myself, but I think the problem is I always jump into bed too soon with the men. This has been going on for at least two years now and I know that I am young, but I am also very mature and I want a partner to go through life with. I read your book about the probation period and I took that into consideration, but I am a very honest person and when a guy tells me that he likes me and wants to get serious I believe him. So I let my guard down and I have sex with him and then everything goes down hill. I have considered being celibate, but that is really hard! I don’t think I’m promiscuous or anything because I tend to turn down guys daily but am I too trusting too soon? I don’t want to walk around like a bitter woman. I really need some help. I even tried talking to a counselor about this. Can you give a young sister some advice? I don’t want to marry my husband and one day have my past haunt me. Ugh, this is so frustrating!
