Every day we feature the beloved “Strawberry Letter” franchise that is so popular on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” heard nationwide. Send in your letters and Shirley Strawberry will dish out the necessary advice. Today’s topic: Definitely Not Casper Dear Steve, I am a man and I have lived a good life but right now I am scared. I recently moved into a house directly across the street from a huge cemetery. I have zero neighbors, it’s a rural area on a main road that is being developed commercially. Living in Kansas this time of year requires you to heat your house. I keep my thermostat on 75 degrees and almost every night I awaken around 3AM to voices in my kitchen. I would usually start praying because it was already in my mind that I may get visitors from across the street. I finally got the confidence to go investigate. I switched on my lights and spoke in a loud tone: “Leave my house, you dead bastards.” The voices halted and laughter erupted. Half scared and angry I went towards my kitchen, spotted 3 men playing cards at my kitchen table. I flung my hammer towards them and ran in the opposite direction. My heart was beating against my rib cage, saying let me out of here. I summoned the confidence to check my kitchen about 5 minutes later, and they were gone, it was very cold in there and I took my cards and went back to bed. Don’t think I even winked once, surely did not get any more sleep. What should I do tonight Steve, any suggestions? Living single at 50, I eat mushrooms daily could this be a part of my trouble?
