Film icon Spike Lee spoke out on gun violence in NYC’s Times Square today, as cities around the country hold an ‘Emergency Day of Outrage,’ in remembrance of gun victims.
Addressing a crowd, Lee said, “Young people have lost the meaning of life. They lost the value of life. If they don’t value their life they’re not going to value anyone else’s life. So as New Yorkers, Black, white, Hispanic, Asian, we got to come together to make this truly the greatest city in the world.
Other cities participating in the ‘Emergency Day of Outrage,’ organized by the Reverend Al Sharpton include Atlanta, Chicago and LA.
