Rapper Shawty Lo Dies In Car Accident Near Atlanta

Rapper Shawty Lo has been identified as the victim of a fiery crash near I-285 in South Fulton County, Georgia, WSBTV Atlanta reports. The Georgia native, real name Carlos Walker, was a founding member of the rap group D4L. He was 40 years old. The Wednesday morning accident was initially reported as a hit-and-run, though authorities have confirmed that the rapper was ejected from his vehicle when it flipped over a guardrail. Two other women who were in the vehicle with Walker when the accident occurred have sustained non-life threatening injuries. “It has been confirmed now that it was a single car accident,” Fulton police spokeswoman Cpl. Maureen Smith said. Atlanta radio personality Ryan Cameron broke the news on Twitter.
