Tongues are still wagging less than a week after the Reverand Al Sharpton and Caroline Kennedy were spotted lunching on collard greens and corn bread at Harlem’s famed Sylvia’s Restaurant. Kennedy, the daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy, has acknowledged that she is seeking the Senate seat held by Hillary Clinton, who President-elect Barack Obama nominated as his Secretary of State. Sharpton also dined at Sylvia’s with Obama during his run for the presidency. Shortly after her lunch, Kennedy told reporters “I come at this as a mother, as a lawyer, as an author, as an education advocate and from a family that really has spent generations in public service,” according to the New York Times.
