We’re all guilty of letting love fall by the wayside at times. Our jobs, family and other committments can zap those loving feelings right out of our relationships. Instead of putting off romance until a special evening or weekend getaway, spice up your sex life with surprisingly fast and effective ideas. There are a lot of ways to remix your romance every day with minimal time and effort, but maximum pay off! Think outside the box of candy and flowers. Perhaps, something like chocolate body paint and rose petals leading up to the bed will do the trick. Don’t be afraid to take the lead and make it a spontaneously sexy occasion that your beau will never forget. Try these few tips to help you work your magic—even in a few stolen moments:
BUILD UP THE EXCITEMENT.
E-mail an enticing photo of you blowing him a kiss with a playful proposition to his cell phone. Not only will he be anxiously anticipating what’s to come, but by the time he gets home, you’ll both be primed and ready to make good on your promises.
HOST HAPPY HOUR AT HOME.
Dash to your local wine and spirits store and grab a bottle of his favorite brand. “A nice bottle of wine can go a long way,” says Jai Jai Greenwood, co-owner of Harlem Vintage. “If you have time, make a special cocktail by adding cranberry juice to glasses of champagne or double-up the indulgence by adding a splash to a bowl of ice cream.”
BECOME A DREAMGIRL.
Get dolled up for your man. He won’t be able to contain his excitement watching you bring his fantasies to life with a sexy striptease. “Men are visual, so give him a show and something to indulge in,” encourages LaDawn Black, author of Let’s Get It On: 15 Hot Tips and Tricks to Spice Up Your Sex Life. “You don’t have to bother with expensive lingerie or complicated props because a little movement goes a long way.”
Bonus Tip: Stock up on your favorite flavored condoms in preparation for the action that’s sure to jump off after your show.
STAY IN FOR DINNER.
Don’t have time for an outing? Grab some fruit, cheese and bread and have a sensual picnic indoors, suggests Black. You can serve the main course with your fingers—and your body will be dessert! “Take turns feeding each other,” says Black. “And don’t be too shy to ask for seconds.” Bon appetit!
