The financial crisis is hitting African nations extremely hard, where several countries are being asked to manufacture generic HIV/AIDS medicines themselves, according to Reuters.com. South Africa is the only African country that makes its own HIV/AIDS drugs while several other countries must now find a way to service as high as 80 percent of its population who are currently walking around with the disease.—WLW
