POTUS fires back at Donald Trump with no filter.
The Republican presidential nominee has been on a non-stop quest to convince rightfully-skeptical voters that he’s the best man for the job, despite a campaign track record that’s proven otherwise. But like many Americans, POTUS is not impressed in the least.
Addressing a crowd of reporters and other media during a news conference in Laos on Thursday, the current Commander-In-Chief described Trump’s most recent campaign rhetoric as “unacceptable and outrageous,” among other things.
“There is this process that seems to take place over the course of the election season where somehow behavior that in normal times we consider completely unacceptable and outrageous becomes normalized and people think we ought to be grading on a curve,” Obama said, according to The Washington Post.
The president’s commentary was in response to a press question regarding Trump’s bogus remarks suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin was a better leader than Obama during a televised town hall-style discussion on Wednesday night.
In addition to constantly ensuring that Trump’s antics don’t fly under the radar, the President has also been openly critical of the media on numerous occasions for failing to call out Trump’s dangerously uninformed decision making and questionable strategies for “making America great again.”
Despite his well-documented disapproval of the GOP ‘s presidential front runner, Obama did close out Thursday’s brief conference by stating that he has confidence in the American people’s ability to make the best decision in November.
