Is Ms. Robin Thicke ready to remake the classic Black film?
Is Paula Patton ready to star in a remake of the ’70s film, “Sparkle,” which starred Irene Cara, Dwan Smith and Lonette McKee?
The bubbly actress and new mom thinks so.
Paula recently told movie buffs at the American Black Film Festival that she was in talks to star in the remake, to be directed by “Jumping the Broom” director, Salim Akil, reports IndieWire.
“It would be very hard to say ‘No’ to Salim,” she said. “I just can’t say ‘Yes’ because it’s not all official yet.”
Note to Salim Akil: Make it “official.” We’d love to see a “Sparkle” remake.
For which role do you think Paula would be perfect?
