If you’ve been keeping up with Oprah, you know she’s got huge plans for OWN. Perhaps none more important to the media guru than her upcoming “Lifeclass,” set to air October 10th.

But what’s even more interesting about her upcoming global class is that she’s made sort of a Facebook cry/public statement about the world’s current state. It’s quite unusual to see Oprah talk about the world in such a negative way.

“The world is a mess,” she wrote. “We all know it and talk about it in our private lives. It’s depressing and overwhelming at times to look at how much potential we have and yet we’re constantly bombarded by images and information that speaks to the lowest common denominator. We can do better. We can be better. I know it’s true.”

Though Oprah hasn’t discovered anything shockingly new, she makes a great point. How many times have we been suckered into worrying about useless information?

Think about it. She simply wants us to grow past our mistakes to become stronger, better people. Oprah admits her strongest desire is to “fulfill the highest, truest expression of myself as a Human being.”
