Omarosa Manigault-Newman is taunting President Donald Trump to “come clean” before she drops her tell-all book about her time working in the White House.
The former Trump administration aide announced the release of the book, titled “UNHINGED: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House”, earlier this week. It will be out in August.
She added the hashtag “#ComeClean45” to a Friday tweet advertising the book, likely mocking the president’s involvement in the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
The book has been described as a “must-read”.
“A stunning tell-all and takedown from a strong, intelligent woman who took every name and number, UNHINGED is a must-read for any concerned citizen,” the publisher’s statement read. ”Omarosa is finally ready to share her side of the story in this explosive, jaw-dropping account.”
Manigault-Newman served as the administration’s director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison before she was unceremoniously let go in December.
Following her departure, she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, telling her housemates that her experience working at the White House was similar to a plantation.
“I’m emancipated. I feel like I just got freed off a plantation,” she said. “Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!”
She added: “I was literally the only African-American woman in the senior staff,” she said.“I’m going to meetings with people who are ignoring me, or because I was Black, people wouldn’t even talk to me. And it wasn’t just the Black thing — it was the woman thing.”
But she also told her housemates that if she came out with a tell-all book, the president wouldn’t take it lightly.
“I’m thinking of writing a tell-all sometime,” she said. “[Trump is] going to come after me with everything he has. Like, I’m going up against a kazillionaire… but I have to tell my truth. I’m tired of being muted… I’ve been defending somebody for so long. Now I’m like, ‘Yo, you are a special kind of f—ked up.’”
