There are 38 sports federation boards of the U.S. Olympics but a recent study found that more than half of those do not have African-American members, according to USA Today. A further look into the gender and ethnic breakdown found that there is a real lack of diversity missing from the federation boards. Richard Lapchick, director of the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Central Florida, was set to meet with USA Olympic officials last year but the meeting was canceled and has yet to be rescheduled. –WLW
