Two new fast food restaurants have opened up in New York City but people seem more concerned about their name rather than their food. Both eateries called themselves Obama Fried Chicken, one in Brooklyn and the other in Harlem, according to the New York Daily News. It has most people balking at the use of the President’s name to hock fried chicken. Both restaurants were recently renamed supposedly because the owner is a big time Obama supporter and this was his way of paying homage to President Obama not offend customers and residents. New York City Councilman Charles Barron plans to organize a protest in front of the Brooklyn location. Other companies have linked their products to President Obama including a German line of frozen chicken fingers and a box of cereal sporting the President’s image.—WLW
