ABC News has announced the death of legendary songtress Natalie Cole.
A statement from the family confirmed that the singer passed at age 65 from ongoing health complications on Thursday in Los Angeles at Cedar Sinai Hospital.
“Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived … with dignity, strength and honor,” a statement from her son Robert Yancy and sisters Timolin and Casaey Cole read. “Our beloved Mother and sister will be greatly missed and remain UNFORGETTABLE in our hearts forever.”
The daughter of the late Nat “King” Cole had an incomparable career having won numerous Grammy Awards for her chart topping success including the 1991 tribute album with her father, Unforgettable…With Love.
