Mary J. Blige puts her soulful sound on a remake of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas.”
The cover is pulled from her first ever upcoming Christmas album,
A Mary Christmas. Blige garnered some help from hit producer David Foster to create the twelve-track LP, which features the songstress covering holiday tunes like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The First Noel.”
“I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to make this soulful and classic Christmas album with David,”
said Blige. “I am so proud of what we created and I believe my fans will love the album as much as I do.”
A Mary Christmas is set to drop October 15th.
