Despite making history as the first Miss Angola to ever win Miss Universe, Leila Lopes’ recent victory is now being questioned following allegations that she used false documents to unlawfully enter pageants, the UK’s Daily Mail writes.

Argentine news outlet Infobae reported that a man named Charles Mukane reportedly helped the 25-year-old enter the Miss Angola UK pageant which only accepts Angolan women living in Britain — Lopes only lives in Angola. Reports suggest that Mukane may have reportedly changed her address so she could enter the pageant.

“She was the only girl I didn’t know very well,” Miss France tells French magazine Premiere. “We didn’t see her much; she was very discreet. We were all surprised by her win.”
