Michael Jai White and his wife, Dr. Courtenay White, shower daughter Morgan Michelle with love. “We think she is the most precious baby,” says Courtenay.
Morgan Michelle was born on Christmas Eve, weighing in at 5 pounds and 5 ounces at 8:34 p.m. “I’m in love like you would never believe,” says Michael about his first baby girl. The actor is the proud father of two sons.
Michael cradles Morgan Michelle with tender love and care. “I don’t think there is any noise she could ever make that I’d grow tired of,” says the doting father. “I welcome them all.”

Michael plants tender kisses atop his baby girl’s head as she enjoys sweet dreams. “I welcome every cry, whimper and movement [from her],” says the proud papa.
“She really surprised me,” says Michael. “I didn’t see the proposal coming. She’s the love of my life.”
After Courtenay proposed to Michael at The Cheesecake Factory, they wasted no time in making it official, marrying two days later. “I decided that I loved him and he loved me, so why wait?” says Courtenay.
Michael and Courtenay met at a 24-hour gym. Despite trying to suppress his feelings for her, love conquered all. “I remember the moment I fell in love with her,” says White. “I was in New York and I trashed the room I was in because I was so angry that she was still on my mind because I didn’t want to feel that way about a woman, but I knew I couldn’t deny it any longer.”
“I felt like the timing was right,” says Courtenay. “He is so genuine and romantic and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.”
The Whites are all smiles after eloping and booking a hotel at the Four Seasons Hotel in Santa Barbara, California.
A beautiful and radiant bride, Courtenay, sans makeup, did her own hair and wore a white halter BCBG dress and Payless shoes. “We spent all day booking the hotel and I had no time to really shop, but my dress was perfect,” says COurtneay. “At the end of the day, [the wedding] was about us and not a price tag on any clothing.”
Michael carries his lovely bride to the shore at the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara, California. “I remember her walking toward me and I fell over like, ’That’s my wife!’”
Michael and Courtenay pose beachside after eloping at the Four Seasons Hotel. “I didn’t feel emasculated at all,” says Michael of his wife’s marriage proposal. “I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with her, whether we got married or not.”
Courtenay shows her hubby some love while on a mini-getaway to Cancun in 2007.
Courtenay finds comfort in Michael, who has her back. “What I love about Courtenay, besides her beauty and intelligence, is that she wants to grow and so do I,” says White. “It’s great that we can do that together.”

Michael accompanies Courtenay to her son Devin’s high school graduation in 2004. “Our kids love each other like sisters and brothers,” says White, who has two sons from a previous relationship. Chatman has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship.

“We were both fighting the feeling because we’d both been hurt,” says Courtenay, here with Michael on their first Valentine’s Day date, “but eventually love won.”
Michael as Dr. Derrick Hatcher, a gifted young trauma specialist, on his new show, “Wonderland.” Mike, who worked 40 to 50 hours a week, admits: “My wife [who’s an OB-GYN] gave me some good pointers.”
Michael says that his size and look often intimidate people. “People look at me and think that I’m mean because of the roles I play, but I’m really not.”
