ESSENCE Music Festival headliner (got tickets?) Mary J. Blige is auctioning a chance for one lucky fan to meet her and visit the set of “Nina,” where she’s filming a biopic on the life of jazz singer Nina Simone.
Proceeds of the auction will benefit Mary’s FFAWN charity which helps inspire women through education, career development and personal growth.
The visit is estimated to be worth a whopping $10,000, with bidding currently set at $1,100 via CharityBuzz.com. The winner of the auction will be allowed to bring along a friend to the film’s set in Los Angeles. Bidding runs now through June 1, 2011.
