The talented singer and Weight Watchers spokeswoman recently plunked down a huge hunk of cash for a southwest Chicago pad for herself and fiance David Otunga and their son David Otunga Jr.

The YBF reports that Hudson paid $2.8M for the 12,000 square foot mansion in Burr Ridge, IL. In all, it’s a 16-room home with 6 bedrooms, 6 full and 2 half bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, a heated garage, two laundry rooms and a completely finished basement.
Other features of the house include a floating staircase, double-height family room, game room and theater as well.

Could this be a sign that Hudson is truly on the path to getting married? She did say a few weeks ago that she is determined to get married. She was also tapped to perform for the Obamas at their annual Christmas in Washington special.
It’s certainly a great time for Hudson and her family. It looks like she’ll be spending the holidays and New Year in her new home!
