In a tearful interview with The Today Show this morning, Janay Rice explained why she has chosen to support husband Ray Rice after the elevator incident. Janay, seated alongside her mother Candy Palmer, said that that night in Atlantic City was the first time that Ray had ever been abusive, and following the punch, he was in “shock.” She also refuses to watch the second video inside the elevator. “I’m not gonna let the public bring me back there,” she told Matt Lauer.
