Run-D.M.C. is already having a great year. The hip-hop stars will have their story brought to the silver screen, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cheo Hodari Coker, the screenwriter who brought us the critically acclaimed “Notorious” film, has signed on to adapt Bill Adler’s “Tougher Than Leather: The Rise of Run-D.M.C.—The Authorized Biography.” The movie will explore the history of hip-hop’s first superstars: Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell, who was shot to death in 2002.
