Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton agrees, Black girls do rock.
Clinton made a surprise appearance at the taping of BET’s Black Girls Rock! show last Friday. The former Secretary of State introduced a video honoring Beverly Bond, the founder of Black Girls Rock!, by calling Black women “change makers and path makers and ground shakers,” as reported by AP.

She shared that Black women leaders like Marian Wright Edelman, the late Maya Angelou, and the civil rights activist Dorothy Height had changed her life. The 2016 BET Black Girls Rock award show celebrates all that Black women offer to the music and entertainment industry. The show will air Tuesday, April 5th.
