The music industry’s most creative, innovative and pioneering artists
will be awarded for their out-of-the box concepts at the 26th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers will recognize new artist Santigold and Haitian Goodwill Ambassador Wyclef Jean for their honorable contribution to music. The two will receive ASCAP’s Creative Voice Award and Vanguard Award, respectively, on April 22 in Los Angeles. ASCAP will also award Nancy Wilson in addition to the writers and publishers of the organization’s most popular pop songs of 2008. —PS
