Frank Ocean will not file charges against Chris Brown for allegedly assaulting him. That’s the latest news in the ongoing drama between the singers who fought last Sunday.
Posted to his Tumblr account, Ocean writes, “As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit.”
The singer, who’s set to perform at this Sunday’s Grammy awards says he’s opting for forgiveness and peace. The latter being what he wants in his “short life.”
The altercation allegedly broke out over a parking spot at a recording studio in Los Angeles. In the hours immediately following the incident, Ocean tweeted that he was jumped by Brown and that he had cut his hand.
