Lee Daniels’ hip-hop drama Empire has been picked up by Fox for the 2014-15 season. Octavia Spencer’s Red Band Society has also been added to the roster. Empire starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson is set in the world of a hip-hop empire and will feature original music by Timbaland along with an all-star cast. Red Band Society, a dramedy staring Octavia Spencer, follows a group of teenagers living in a hospital who become friends. [HollywoodReporter]
