The teenage daughter of former NBA star Robert Horry has died. Ashlyn Horry passed away Tuesday after a 17-year battle with a genetic disorder — 1p36 deletion syndrome. Sadly, not much was known about the disorder until a few years ago.

“My little girl was the light of my life and my family’s. It’s been tough, but we were blessed to have her for the time we did.” said the NBA champ to the Los Angeles Times.

Ashlyn’s passing couldn’t come at a more poignant time — as tomorrow is Father’s Day. But Horry isn’t alone, many of our favorite dads have children with disabilities and disorders. A few years ago, L.A. Lakers star Derek Fisher’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer, and Boris Kodjoe’s daughter, Sophie, suffers from spina bifida.

During this special Father’s Day, take a moment to share what you love about your dad or what you love about your children.
