President Obama asked former NFL coach Tony Dungy to serve on his administration’s Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Initiative but Dungy said no due to lack of free time, according to Politico.com. The New York Times best-selling author released a statement saying that his schedule would not allow him to attend all the required Council meetings but is honored that Obama offered him the position. A White House aide says that Dungy will serve as an adviser to the administration and the President on fatherhood issues.—JW
