Chris Rock handled the #OscarsSoWhite controversy perfectly—by making everyone in the audience so uncomfortable that they couldn’t help but laugh. The comedian had hilarious one liners, called out celebs and poked fun at the privileged. 15 Lines From Chris Rock’s Oscars Monologue That Got Us Talking Rock’s monologue was something that had the Twitter timeline lit and we’ve rounded up some of the tweets that still have us talking.

Is it me, or are there a lot of uncomfortable White faces in this #OscarsSoWhite show during @chrisrock monologue? @emergingUS

Chris Rock shouted out “Black Lives Matter” “BET” and “Brooklyn” at the Oscars. Y’all better never call that man a sellout.

There are still “real things to protest,” @chrisrock. Like, police violence. And the #FlintWaterCrisis. #Oscars

Chris Rock’s monologue was, I’d venture, uncomfortable for most of us to watch. And perhaps that was the point. #Oscars

Great observations made by Chris Rock. Put a lot of things in perspective. I mean things we already knew but was good to hear them said.

— Charlamagne Tha God (@cthagod) February 29, 2016

I love seeing #ChrisRock make these people uncomfortably laugh at these very real jokes!

They knew they were in trouble as soon as they heard @chrisrock walk out to @PublicEnemyFTP “Fight the Power.” #Oscars

Chris Rock handled the lack of diversity in the nominations beautifully

using humour to educate that’s beautiful right there — Jasmeet Singh (@JusReign) February 29, 2016
