Picture this: You’re at a diner and a child is crying non-stop.
What do you do? Intervene or let the episode run its course?
This was the question at hand in a Maine restaurant where a fed up owner, Darla Neugebaur, took matters into her own hands.
According to Newsday, things took a turn for the worse when Neugebaur, owner of Marcy’s Diner in Portland, Maine tossed to-go boxes at parents Tara and John Carson and their 21-month-old daughter. Neugebaur claims the child wailed and disturbed customers for 40 minutes. She then asked the parents to leave.
Neaugebaur stands by her actions and has received widespread support.
The mom has her own detailed account of how it all happened. Carson says her daughter was crying for about 10 minutes after waiting 40 minutes for pancakes and adds that she’ll never forget the look on her child’s face after Neaugebaur’s yelling.
