Michelle Obama sat down Tuesday for a CNN iReport live from China to discuss the importance of traveling for young people.
The First Lady said that going abroad ultimately creates “better people, smarter people—and it’s fun too.”
When asked where her first passport stamp was from, she shared the story of a trip to Paris, France; “We stayed in a youth hostel and spoke a lot of bad French,” said Mrs. Obama, adding that she learned a lot during her experience.
She elaborated on the importance of traveling, encouraging viewers to “shake the fear” and “be open.”
