It’s the perfect end to a perfect month for our 11-year-old ESSENCE covergirl Quvenzhané Wallis. Her movie Annie, which hit theaters last Friday, landed her both a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice nomination, and just yesterday, we were treated to a first look at her Spring/Summer Armani Junior campaign.
Back in May, the pint-sized actress was named the new face of the brand for the designer, making her the first child to be the face of a major designer. She already stole our hearts in the Fall/Winter campaign, and now she’s back for more.
Quvenzhané is no stranger to the Italian designer: She wore a custom Armani dress to the 2013 Academy Awards.
“I’m so happy to be chosen by Mr. Armani to be his ambassador for Armani Junior,” she said to The Hollywood Reporter in May. “It’s fun to wear Armani Junior since I really like the clothes. It’s young. It’s cool. My friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes.”
